Taylmail Live Demo
8 November, 2026
Hi everybody. Here's a simple live demo for some very prototypical software that I'm working on to enable mailing-list-style code review of AI agent code. The details are in the video and the project's GitHub repo.
I'm only uploading this here because, in that video itself, I promised that I'd be uploading a blog here. When I said that, I had intended to upload a blog post on all kinds of different things I'd been working on over the past months and years. I was hoping to regale you with some short stories of investigating evolvability in image-producing neural networks, of creating high-quality motion-blurring video and audio tools, an editor for branching dialogue, a high-quality isosurface polygonizer...
But alas. All those past projects, interesting as they might have been for me, ultimately ended in failure or abandonment due to one deficiency or another. Seeing how few people have taken an interest in even this demo of Taylmail -- a genuinely promising piece of software that could be genuinely helpful to other people -- where I have posted it on Reddit, I don't think that that list of dead ends, with even less relevance to other people, will be of much interest to anyone else.
The experience of uploading this demo is suggesting to me that I need to be focusing on creating that which can actually serve people, and that I am particularly well-positioned to create, rather than publishing my past failed experiments.
I'll focus on creating such valuable things that best utilize my specific skills I've built over years of trying and failing at game development. And I'll share my progress here as I do. In blog posts and videos that -- if I can even possibly help it -- I will upload here weekly.
So for now, the only thing here is this, that simply links back to the very video that promises it and does not much else.
Please look forward to some more substantial game development stuff (and probably more on Taylmail too, which should much help me make a game) going forward.
Bye bye.
